Donna Segal Board Chair

Chair - Donna Segal (Kingston)
Term 2012-2015

Ms. Segal brings to her new role a wealth of experience in heatlh care.  She has managed a number of policy, planning and service portfolios in the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, leaving her last position of Executive Director, Health Services Division, to become the founding CEO of the Ontario Family Health Network in 2001.  In 2004, she joined the Health Council of Canada, from which she retired in 2007.  From 2008 until 2012 she has served as a member of the Kingston General Hospital Board of Directors and as a member of the Queen's Family Health Team Advisory Board.

Ms. Segal holds a BNSc from Queen's University and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.  She and her husband reside just east of Kingston.

In accepting her appointment as Chair of the SE LHIN Board, Ms. Segal emphasized the importance of strong and collaborative relationships in building, sustaining and improving health services for the region and the communities within.  "The LHIN, as South East Ontario's local health system manager, plays a valuable and locally-sensitive role in providing to its 90 plus health providers leadership, information, guidance and funding to ensure that, in partnership, we are all working well to improve access to high quality services to our communities.  I take that role very seriously and look forward to maintaining and building those partnerships."

 

A von Cramon

Vice Chair - Andreas von Cramon (Brockville)
Term 2013 - 2016

Andreas von Cramon is a lawyer. He is employed by Legal Aid Ontario as Supervisory Duty Counsel for the United Counties of Leeds & Grenville where his practice is divided between family and criminal law. He has been a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada since 1991, after graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School with an L.L.B. Until 1998, Andreas had a general law practice in Brockville, during which he served for a period as a part-time member of the Ontario Consent and Capacity Board.

He became a full-time member of the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal in 1998 and continued work there until he joined Legal Aid Ontario in 2003. Andreas has volunteered extensively in his community for many years, including terms on the boards of the Brockville YMCA-YWCA, the Brockville and District Association for Community Involvement, and the Brockville Downtown Board of Management.

He has recently finished eight years of service on the Board of Governors at the Brockville General Hospital, during which he was board chairperson for two years. Andreas is married and has 3 children.

Board Member - W. Arthur Ronald

Board Member - W. Arthur Ronald (Napanee)
Term 2013 - 2014

Mr. Ronald was appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council to a three year term which began August 10th, 2010.
Born and educated in Scotland, Mr. Ronald has had a long and distinguished career in health care. From 1968 until 1978 he managed the departments of Laboratory Hematology and Diagnostic Imaging at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto.

In 1978 he was appointed Executive Director of the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital in Napanee, a position he held until his retirement in December 2008. During that time he helped guide the hospital through a period of significant change culminating in the completion of a major redevelopment of that facility.

Arthur is a strong believer in the imperative of integrating the delivery of health services at both the regional and local levels, and has served on many community Boards and Committees.  As a founding member of Lennox and Addington Seniors Outreach Services, and past Board Chair of that organization, he has advocated strenuously for the recognition of community support services as an essential element of an effective health care delivery system.
He was also instrumental in the creation of the Lennox and Addington Health and Community Services Coalition, an organization of local health service providers committed to collaborative planning of service delivery. He served as the first Chair of that organization.

Arthur is active in the community as a member of the Napanee Rotary Club and as a member of the Canadian College of Health Service Executives, holding the designation as a Certified Health Care Executive (CHE).
In commenting on his appointment Arthur says, “I hope to be able to use my community experience in the development of an integrated approach to the delivery of health services to assist the Board of the SE LHIN to advance its priority of system improvement through Boards working together”. 

Dave Sansom

Board Member - David Sansom (Bath)
Term 2013 - 2016

Dave is retired from a career in the Canadian Chemical Industry. Having Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering, Dave was employed by Dupont Canada Inc for 27 years in various technical and business management positions at several sites in Ontario, and by Nova Chemicals Inc for 4 years in Calgary, retiring from a position on the Corporate Leadership Team. Two additional years with the Canadian Chemical Producers Association as a consultant on climate change issues followed retirement from corporate life. Dave and his wife, Janet, reside on Nicholson’s Point in Loyalist Township. Their three children and families are located in the Toronto area. Other passions include sailing, travel, woodworking, and curling.

Dave has recently resigned from the Board of Directors of the Lennox and Addington Seniors Outreach Services, where he served the last two years as Vice-chair of a total of four years on the Board. He was also Chair of the Seniors Wellness Committee. In addition he provided eight years of medical driving service.

As a former Seniors Outreach Services Board of Directors' member, facilitation of the strategic planning process was provided. Leadership in developing improved service capabiltiy; in developing programs for prevention of the aging process through intellectual challenge, physical fitness, and social interaction; and in integration with volunteerism and life-long learning; are continuing initiatives.

Lois Burrows new

Board Member - Lois Burrows (Godfrey)
Term 2012 - 2015

Lois Burrows recently retired from the Bank of Nova Scotia, Toronto. Lois was the Senior Vice-President, Global Risk Management. She has had an extensive career in the financial services industry, including human resources, sales, policy and regulatory frameworks. Lois has lived and worked in Southwestern Ontario, Vancouver and Toronto.

Previously, Lois was a member of the Board of Health for East York prior to amalgamation of the Borough into Toronto, and she has a longstanding interest in health care services. In the past, she has also volunteered in community support services with Community Occupational Therapy Associates (now COTA Health) in Toronto.

Lois and her husband now live full-time at their country home in Godfrey, South Frontenac Township that they have enjoyed for the past 14 years. Lois takes pleasure in the natural beauty of the Canadian Shield and lake country.

Janet Cosier

Board Member - Janet Cosier (Smiths Falls)
Term 2013 - 2016

Janet is an Advisor to the Governor of the Bank of Canada, on Strategic Planning and Risk Management in Ottawa since 1991 and Chair of the Board of Directors, Canadian Payments Association, appointed by the Bank of Canada.

Member of the Board, and Past Chair, 2008-2012, for the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre.

Past Chair of the Student Services Committee and member of Professional Services Committee for the Society of Management Accountants (Ontario) 1995 - 1998

Past Member of Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Chair of Finance Committe for the Pinecrest-Queensway Health and Community Services, Ottawa.
