South East LHIN Plan
For Engaging our Community
As with all other LHINs, the South East LHIN has a Performance Agreement between itself and the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care. That agreement specifies the obligations of both parties, as well as identifies areas where the Ministry wants to see improvement. Performance indicators, along with multi-year targets, are set out in this agreement, and the results are reported publicly, through annual and quarterly reports, and other channels.
In delivering on those performance indicators the South East LHIN has in place 96 accountability agreements with 114 service providers.
Within this accountability framework, the South East LHIN Board has set in place four corporate strategic goals: To build a true system of integrated health care that optimizes the use of resources.
- To build understanding of the role of the SE LHIN in developing and managing a regional system of integrated care;
- To build a functional integrated e-health system that supports better health care services and healthier citizens;
- To demonstrate leadership as a knowledge–based organization that is credible, professional, proactive and responsive.
